Aurora v1.8.0, the monthly release of Aurora for February 2024, is here!

Aurora v1.8.0 is around 359 elo stronger than v1.0.0, according to progression tests. The full result of the test is shown below:

Many improvements, ranging from search (such as the addition of quiescence search) to speedups (such as the much faster NNUE accumulator updates) to quality of life (such as the default values of options reported by the 'uci' command changed to be the actual default value, not the current value), make Aurora v1.8.0 the best chess engine Aurora has ever been.
