Stockfish 17.1 vs Mid-range Chess Engines (Tests by Jörn Gronemann, 2025.11.26)

 

Stockfish 17.1 is holding strong! This was demonstrated by another tournament in which Stockfish tested the strength of engines aspiring to Elite status. Obsidian dev-16.15 SE and PlentyChess 7.0.23 performed best, taking 2nd and 3rd place.
