Since you’re here...

... we have a small favour to ask. More people, like you, are reading and supporting our blog: "Chess Engines Diary". And unlike many other sites and blogs, we made the choice to keep our articles open for all, regardless of where they live or what they can afford to pay.

We hope you will consider supporting us today. We need your support to continue to exist, because good entries are more and more work time. Every reader contribution, however big or small, is so valuable. Support "Chess Engines Diary" even a small amount– and it only takes a minute. Thank you.

Chess engine UCI: Muse 0.95

Muse - UCI chess engine

About Muse 0.95 (April 10th, 2016):

Muse is an UCI chess engine, and also supports the winboard protocol. I wrote the first version of Muse in 2003/2004, reaching version 0.899b.
Reading about AlphaGo and its match against Lee Sedol rekindled my interest, and I decided to try and make Muse a bit more competitive.
Lots of hours of programming, 2 months and nearly 100 gauntlet matches later,
I have arrived at version 0.95 - I hope it won't take me another 12 years
to reach version 1.0....
