Scid vs PC - chess database application. New version 4.25

SCID - "Shane's Chess Information Database" is a huge chess toolkit with extensive database analysis and chess-playing features.

 Scid vs. PC is a usability and bug-fix fork of Scid. It has extensive interface fixes and improvements, and is fully compatible with Scid's .si4 databases. It's new features include a totally rewitten Gamelist, a Computer Tournament, and FICS, Tree and Book improvements.

Extra Tags - bulk add Extra Tag feature .
Enable pattern matching in the Name Editor .
Show Comments in Game Preview/Browser windows, change colours to match PGN, and ControlKey+Load does not close the Browser window .
LaTex Game Export - draw Marks in chess diagrams, indent variations, and other minor changes (from Bruno) .
Crosstable: add clickable column headings for Nationality, Rating and Score .
Engine Annotation - Score last move in case of checkmate (and stalemate) .
Tree mask - Options to hide Markers (default), disable tooltips, and make the mask move colour steelblue .
Engine - Right-clicking AddAllVars adds all first moves only .
Comment Editor - Remove 'Apply' button, instead automatically apply miniboard changes. Add wheelmouse move-forward/back bindings .
Player Info - don't show 'filtered games' stats if they duplicate the normal stats .
Make the Tree Bargraph height similar to the font height (for high def displays) .
Add a few Keypad bindings, re suggestion from Patrick .
Pressing Home-key inside a variation moves to var start instead of game start .

General Bugs
Twin Game checker minor fixes .
Some spinboxes (annotate(blunder)) had erroneous error checking and threw exceptions .
Some graphs didn't show the correct final/current year, gah! .
Minor optable.tcl fixes/clean-up. Opening Table max games is now 100,000 (was 25,000) .
Add current decade to Opening report Current popularity .
EPD analysis hardening .
For a few widgets - dont scroll text windows when using control-scroll to alter font size .
Update stats/etc on Game quickSave.

  Book - CTG format Customers who wish to use the CTG format book will need a GUI capable of reading this format, ie. Chessbase GUIs.  Please save the book in your book folder. We strongly recommend that you "Optimize" the book in the Book options dialog so the tournament moves are chosen. The book is very wide even in tournament mode unlike most other books. New version chess engine: Lc0 BT4

LcZero - CEDR Rating=3683 vBT4: Big transformer 4. New network architecture which builds off of BT3 by adding two types of auxiliary heads, future heads and categorical value heads. The categorical value heads predict a distribution over values of q rather than a WDL outcome distribution, and the future heads predict the moves that will be played over the next two plies. The hope is that these heads will give additional information to the net to improve training speed. We've also fixed half-precision training, so this model will be larger. BT4 training started in mid-October and is expected to take a few months.     Dragon by Komodo Chess Larry Kaufman: We have released Dragon at komodochess.com. Dragon uses NNUE (Neural Network Updated Efficiently) technology, originally developed for the game of shogi. Komodo has a great deal of chess knowledge in its evaluation. Training an NNUE network based on this evaluation was both an advantage and a challenge, requiring experimentation with architectures and data generation of billions of positions. The reinforcement learning phase for Dragon is in its infancy, but is already showing great promise. Dragon is a huge strength improvement over 14.1, the last release, about 197 elo in MCTS mode and 189 elo in standard mode, at CCRL blitz time control on one thread based on direct matches. With four threads, the gains were 156 elo in MCTS and 170 in standard mode.
