Aurora is an actively developed UCI (Universal Chess Interface) compatible chess engine.
This means that Aurora is a command-line-based engine and you will need a UCI-Compatible GUI in order to intuitively use Aurora. See the "Usage" section below for usage instructions.

Aurora 1.16.2:
I've finally gotten back to working on Aurora! Compared to Aurora v1.11.3, Aurora v1.16.2 is stronger and has improved usability. Aurora v1.16.2 is ~100 elo stronger than its predecessor, and I also expect this release to scale slightly better at longer time controls.

Another notable improvement in this release is the addition of LRU, so that Aurora can search infinitely while staying within user-specified memory limits.
