More info
Heimdall is available on Lichess under its old name (Nimfish), feel free to challenge it! I try to keep the engine running on there always up to date with the changes on the master branch

Heimdall - what's new?

Evaluation and search
Switch to the Remiel NNUE network, with an evaluation scale of 282.
Fix root-move filtering and deduplication for searchmoves, and correctly
restrict MultiPV searches to the requested legal root moves.
Fix UCI search-completion handling so a queued completion cannot unblock a
later search's wait command.
Terminal UI
Watch external UCI engines with separate commands and options for each color.
Show their names, scores, PVs and search statistics, and include engine details
in exported PGNs.
Recover external engines in watch mode and keep the evaluation panel stable
between turns. Correct the built-in Black engine's displayed search information.
Display PVs in SAN by default, with :set pvnotation uci available to switch
back. Correct castling notation for standard chess and Chess960.
See the TUI guide in the README for commands and supported terminals.
Android and browser support
Add standalone Android UCI executables for ARM64 and x86-64, with embedded
weights, runtime SIMD selection, API 21 support and 16 KiB page alignment.
Add a WebAssembly build with SIMD and shared-memory search threads.
Add Wasmdall, a browser interface for play and analysis with clocks, engine
controls, position imports, move history and PGN export, plus a UCI console.
See the Android and browser guides for setup.
Browser builds are built from source separately from the downloadable executables.

We already have the new Fritz 20 program - what does it look like and how does it work?

The purchase process for the download version on the ChessBase website took only 5 minutes. Downloading the files from the cloud was even quicker. The installation itself, which involved five large files, took maybe 7 minutes, including restarting the system and entering the serial number I received upon purchase. The start image for Fritz 20 has a strange mosaic of colors; perhaps I'll get used to it. As you can see in the second screenshot, the program interface hasn't changed much; only the icons are different (we've been using Fritz 17 until now). It looks nice, but it's no major revolution. The next two screenshots show engine management and the installation of the UCI chess engine (here, Cataphract 1.1). As you can see, there are no changes. Screenshot no. 5 shows the analysis of some position by Fritz 20 engines. The changes are minimal - it is still very legible. Finally, on screen 6 we have the engine tournament table generated by Fritz 20 . I think it is sti...
