Based on my observations, it does a much better job of keeping its own king safe, while also exploiting enemy weaknesses much more cleanly. I also developed an experimental version that replaced HCE king safety with a small neural network. I may release this version separately at some point in time, as it did result in an improvement of some 24ish Elo. New Engine Features Use More Increment: +6 Elo #118 Use TT Score

CT800 - UCI chess engine,  About: I am Rasmus Althoff, main author of this project. My professional background is electrical engineering and embedded systems. You can reach me via e-mail at info@ct800.net – in English or German. Actually, I just wanted to gain some hands-on experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers. The Olimex H405 board looked promising, so I needed a project idea what to do with this powerful hardware: artwork with a chessboard on a computer chip Chess computers have fascinated me since the late ’80s.
