Another tournament of new versions of chess engines for Android is coming up. The Berserk 20250307b JA and Caissa 1.21.7 JA engines performed very well and shared 1st and 2nd place. At the bottom of the page, we have posted two interesting games played by the two engines mentioned above. The next tournaments are ongoing, so stay tuned for the results.   Euwe is a UCI chess engine written in modern C++. It is named after Max Euwe, a Dutch chess player, mathematician, former FIDE president, and the fifth World Chess Champion. Author: Joost Houben Since this is the first release of the engine it is still relatively simplistic and has only moderate playing strength. Based on my own testing against other open source engines on CCRL I expect that it's strength (under 2'/1" time control) is about 2200-2250 elo. I'm excited to continue tinkering with it to improve it. v.2.0.0: Version 2.0 contains a major overhaul of the evaluation function, which now includes many more features and uses automatically tuned parameters. Another tournament of new chess engine versions was held on an older computer using the Arena GUI. Astra 5.1 JA emerged as the winner, followed by Pawnocchio 1.3.1415 in second place and Nalwald ab11891 JA in third. Further tournament results will be posted on the site soon. A small test tournament of new chess engines was won by Caissa 1.21.7 JA . In second place Astra 5.1 JA and in third DarkSeid 5.6 . This time we used GUI - Fritz 17.
