Berserk 14 is officially available!
⚠️ About these binaries: The attached .exe files are cross-compiled from Linux with mingw-w64 and are not PGO-optimized. They will run correctly but are slower than a native, profile-guided build. For best performance you are strongly encouraged to compile your own native binary (instructions below), it tunes the build to your exact CPU.
Build it yourself (recommended)
git clone https://github.com/jhonnold/berserk
cd berserk/src
make pgo CC=clang ARCH=native
./berserk bench
make pgo produces a profile-guided, native-tuned binary and will be faster than any of the generic binaries attached here.
Choosing a prebuilt binary
All binaries require popcnt. Pick by your CPU's instruction set: x86-64, sse41, avx2, avx512.
Binaries tagged pext require bmi2. AMD Zen / Zen 2 users: avoid pext binaries, pext is emulated and slow on those chips.
If unsure:
Download a few, run go depth 24 in each; if it crashes your CPU lacks that instruction set.
Pick the fastest one that runs or just build natively (above).
