After a short break, Halogen is now under active development again.
Built from the ground up, Halogen now comes with a new network architecture which is eight times larger, significantly stronger, and trained completely from scratch using a novel application of Temporal Difference learning.
Along with that, Halogen has enhanced its search significantly with the addition of Singular Extensions, multiple rounds of SPSA tuning, and new thread voting model for SMP.
The strength improvements have resulted in a significant ELO gain, as well as an improved analysis mode. Halogen finds significantly more checkmates than before.
