Coliseum is a simple GUI specifcally to make the use of chess engines much easier for the general user in comparison to ARENA Chess GUI which I used to use myself for a long time.

New Feature: Tactics Trainer & Puzzle Generator
Tactics Scanner: Scan your tournament PGN files to automatically generate chess tactics puzzles from actual games.
Core Puzzle Categories: Exclusively generates Checkmates (mate), Blunder Refutations (blunder), and Better Alternative Moves (better_move).
Smart PV Extension: Automatically queries the engine to extend short or even-length principal variations to the next odd length, ensuring all puzzle solutions terminate cleanly on the player's move.
Unrestricted Mate Capturing: Detects all forced mates at any ply without variation-based discarding.
Optimized Frontend Solver: Features a custom minimax checkmate solver optimized with checks-first move ordering. It runs deep verification up to 9 plies (covers up to Mate in 5) with zero lag, dynamically validating alternative checkmate solutions and replying to the player in real-time.
New Feature: Game Analysis
Post-Game Review: Run deep engine analysis on completed matches from your archive. Visualize the evaluation swing throughout the game, identify critical blunders, and explore better alternatives on the board.
