Revolution 6.10-310726 - UCI chess engine (based on Stockfish)


Revolution - Revolution is a free, open-source UCI chess engine derived from Stockfish. Jorge Ruiz Centelles, with credit to ChatGPT, modifies and extends the code to explore new concepts. The engine implements cutting-edge search algorithms combined with neural network evaluation. Derived from fundamental chess programming principles, Revolution analyzes positions through parallelized alpha-beta search enhanced with null-move pruning and late move reductions.

As a UCI-compliant engine, Revolution operates through standard chess interfaces without an integrated graphical interface. Users must employ compatible chess GUIs (Arena, Scid vs PC, etc.) for board visualization and move input. Consult your GUI documentation for implementation details.

What changed in Revolution 6.10-310726 

Release identity: the base UCI identity changed from Revolution-6.0-040526 to Revolution-6.10-310726. Compiled binaries retain a normalized architecture suffix, such as -sse41popcnt or -avx2.
Stockfish-dev topology window: the previous HTML closed the source sequence at July 3. The current release carries the accepted chronological topology through July 16, July 20 and July 26, 2026.
NNUE authority: the default network changed from nn-0ee0657fb25e.nnue to nn-ab28990d4ea3.nnue.
NNUE architecture: SFNNv15 was replaced by SFNNv16, including the PP_3Wide feature set and the hybrid accumulator path for the applicable king-move cases.
Search and move-generation maintenance: the accepted Jul 26 block includes the static-evaluation-based null-move-pruning reduction, optimized rank attacks, removal of a duplicate legal-move check and removal of an unused UCI option constructor.
SIMD and platform topology: the intervening blocks include the accepted SIMD/bitboard work, VVLTC-related maintenance, pthread integration, RVV affine-transform optimization and AVX-512 paired activations. These changes were preserved in source while release validation remained limited to the explicitly tested Windows SSE4.1/POPCNT and AVX2 targets.
Build quality: an initial Clang build exposed one dead lmrDivisor declaration. The declaration had no consumers and was removed in the isolated P0M correction. The final profile builds completed with zero warnings and zero compiler or linker errors.
Windows AVX2 publication: the current release adds a real PE32+ Windows AVX2 executable, Revolution-6.10-310726-avx2.exe, built and validated separately from the SSE4.1/POPCNT binary.
Revolution-specific surfaces: CTG/BIN Book 1 and Book 2, Experience, Zobrist, Syzygy, Threads, Hash, MultiPV and the single public EvalFile surface remain preserved.
