The Challenger Group E (July 2026 edition), the qualifying round for the CEDR Chess Engine League (TOP-64), has concluded. This is often the most exciting qualifying tournament, as it is the group where new chess engines make their debut. As the results show, the new engines Coda 0.9.2, Hobbes 2.1, and Rose 1.0.0 JA took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, respectively.
