New rules Chess Engines Diary League - 01.01.2024

Due to the increasing number of engines we test, we are slightly changing the rules of the Chess Engine League.

👉 We still retain the 4 TOP-64 leagues. Why 64 engines?
Well, there are 64 squares on the chessboard.

👉 There will be 4 leagues of 16 engines each. The engines that will take the last three places are relegated from leagues 1, 2 and 3.
The engines that will take the last six places are relegated from the 4th league.
Promotion is similar.

👉  To honor the creators of chess engines, all new and amateur engines will play in the TOP-64 qualifiers. Qualifications consist of two tournaments using the Swiss system - 9 rounds. GUI-Aquarium.

👉  If the engine cannot be started in GUI-Aquarium - it will not play in the qualifiers.

👉  Engines that have not had new versions for three years will not continue to play in the qualifying rounds.

👉  Time: 3' +3"
